In attending a musical performance there is empathy of kinship.
In France or Brazil, if we see a report in a newspaper describing a concert or poetry reading, the words are the same; they will say that distinguished members of the audience assisted at the performance. As an elegantly rendered observation of totalities, a photograph or painting also invites participation.
